The valve action is the best I've tried on any french horn. The horn is extra clean, has a good original case with it and plays very well. The valves blow open and are integrated into the classic with finesse. It also pulls pressure away from the lips as there's no longer the need to use the lips as a balancing point. These models match the level of specification of their Eb equivalents. In very good condition with some cosmetic pitting and lacquer wear. It is an old style tenor trombone: small bore, narrow slide, friction fit and no slide lock.

Like the woodwind family, brass players use their breath to produce sound, but instead of blowing into a reed, you vibrate your own lips by buzzing them against a metal cup-shaped mouthpiece. The mouthpiece helps to amplify the buzzing of the lips, which creates the sound. Most brass instruments have valves attached to their long pipes; the valves look like buttons. When you press down on the valves, they open and close different parts of the pipe ref.: La favorite (Act II, Duetto read for free La favorite (Act II, Duetto (soprano,. The smaller bell gave it a bright sound, similar to a true baritone horn. To the best of my knowledge, this instrument was never called a double-bell baritone. The same instrument minus the small bell was (and is) frequently called a baritone. The inconsistency is that the double-bell version was able to approximate the sound of a baritone, while the single-bell instrument could only sound like a euphonium S?r?nade, Op. 98 for Tuba or Bass Trombone & Piano S?r?nade, Op. 98 for Tuba or Bass.

Other brass instruments of similar range include the bass and contrabass trombone, and the cimbasso (which is like a contrabass valve trombone). The French Horn, baritone, euphonium, and bass and contrabass trumpets also overlap a significant part of the range. The F and Eb bass tubas are higher horns: the whole range of an F tuba is from the subcontrabass-F# to c2 on the treble clef and the Eb's from scb-E to Bb1 on the treble clef Rigoletto (Prelude): Tuba part (Qty 7) [A4550] download here.
